How it works

Make an appointment via phone or email.

Bring along any referral letters from medical practitioners (addressed to Dr Paul Tannous)

Bring any relevant results or reports such as psychometric/IQ assessments and developmental assessments.

Any reports from school, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapist, dietician.

Results of any medical tests.

If possible, please bring your child’s Blue book.

The fee for your appointment will vary based on your child’s health needs.
Initial consultation (up to 60 minutes)
This includes a comprehensive review of your child’s history and examination, as well as a written treatment plan.

Complex, Developmental, Autism, ADHD concerns are allocated a one hour session- please contact reception for price indication
**Patients receive a medicare rebate up to $259 depending on the complexity of your child’s needs. Following your consultation we will lodge a Medicare claim on your behalf. If your bank account details are linked to Medicare, your rebate will be deposited directly into your account within five business days.

Dr. Paul Tannous
Paediatrician
(Adjunct Lecturer, UNDA)
MBBS, M.Med/Surg, B.Pharm, FRACP
Doctor Paul is an Australian born and trained registered medical practitioner. He is also an adjunct lecturer at The University of Notre Dame Australia- School of Medicine.
He received a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Sydney in 2008, and worked as a pharmacist for 5 years in various locations throughout Sydney. In his day to day work he was required to have a thorough understanding of how medicine works and the potential side effects and complications.
In 2013 he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Notre Dame Sydney. In 2015 he was granted a scholarships to further his studies and complete a masters of medicine and surgery. In 2021 he published an Australian study, which was a randomised control trial assessing the safety and effectiveness of high dose vitamin D therapy in children.
From 2015 to 2023 Dr Paul trained as a paediatric doctor at The Children’s Hospital Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. During this time he has gained experience in a number of subspecialties including:

Dr. Nidhi Panicker
Paediatrician
Dr Nidhi Panicker has always wanted to pursue a career in Paediatrics and preventative health from an early age. She trained at the University of Newcastle and has since trained across the country in various hospitals including John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne) and Children’s Hospital Westmead. She has also worked extensively in rural and regional Australia and understands the Australian health system well. Nidhi is multilingual and has experience working with families of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
She has a keen interest in Paediatric Haematology (having completed 3 years training in this speciality), and preventative medicine, especially promoting healthy and happy lifestyles for kids. Nidhi enjoys seeing children of all ages, and has also had additional training in managing neonates and eating disorders. Nidhi is also very passionate about education and has been teaching medical students and paediatric trainees for more than 10 years.
Outside of work, Nidhi loves being at the beach. In her spare time, she also enjoys painting, hiking, reading, music and has been training in classical Indian dancing (Bharatanatyam and Kathak) since a young age.

Emily Hudders
Endorsed Clinical Psychologist
(Member of the Australian Psychological Society)
Emily is a fully endorsed Clinical Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Emily specialises in working with children and has over 8 years of experience in working with young people. Emily has a particular interest in working with neurodiverse populations. She has over 8 years of experience working with children and young people with Autism, ADHD, cognitive and learning differences. Since finishing her studies, Emily has also completed extensive Autism assessment training and completes assessment for Autism, cognition, adaptive behaviour, learning (eg. dyslexia, giftedness) and ADHD using gold standard assessment measures.
Emily also works with children and young people to improve mental health and coping using an individualised approach adapted to each client’s needs. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) whilst providing clients practical skills to develop and maintain relationships, solve problems and persevere in the face of adversity. Importantly, Emily collaborates with caregivers extensively, as well as teachers, other health professionals and family members, to meet the needs of her clients.
In a session with Emily, you can expect a safe and calm space to discuss your concerns, and have the chance to laugh, have fun and learn something new.

Senior OT
Mariam
Mariam is a Senior Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead at CFDC, supporting adolescents and young people with complex and diverse needs. Her clinical practice includes paediatric feeding assessment and intervention, assistive technology to support independence, and the development of functional skills for daily living. Mariam takes a collaborative, team-based approach to intervention planning and works closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. She brings an evidence-informed, practical approach to therapy, with a strong focus on supporting meaningful participation beyond the therapy setting.
Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Vivianna
Vivianna is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at CFDC, supporting children and adolescents to develop skills for everyday participation through play, movement, and meaningful activities. Her practice is informed by sensory integration principles, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, coping skills, self-awareness, and social-emotional development. Vivianna has a particular interest in supporting adolescents through life transitions and takes a warm, child-centred approach, working collaboratively with families to deliver practical, strengths-based support that carries over into everyday life.
